The Echo Raiders

The Echo Raiders — "E" Company, 2nd Bn, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division — were a Vietnam era U.S. Marine Corps rifle company, part of the United States' Fleet Marine Force Pacific deployed to Vietnam in August 1965. The Raiders went toe-to-toe with both the Viet Cong and the North Vietnamese Army.

At the begining of Vietnam , "E" 2/1 picked up the "Raiders" moniker after undergoing special training to conduct raids on the coastline of Vietnam.    See

Fifty years after Vietnam the Raiders remain faithful, gathering each year to honor their officers and those who fell so long ago.
